Amazon-related changes

• Salestio will now transfer Shopify order ID to Amazon as "Seller Order ID". This way, you can look up the Shopify order by referencing the note in Seller Central.
• New options added to the Settings tab for Amazon accounts: it is now possible to process refunds in Shopify. After marking a Shopify order as refunded or canceled, Salestio will send this information to Seller Central. Enable these options to make use of the feature:

• FBA listings will no longer be downloaded to the Salestio Inventory page. If you need to enable downloading of FBA listings, please reach out to support@salest.io

Better SKU mapping management

Added delete button for SKU mappings. If you want to delete it, go to the "SKU mapping file" section in Salestio settings:

Extended options to set up Auction pricing rules

Previously, Salestio allowed setting a Price Ratio for listing new auctions. This way, Shopify prices would be multiplied by the ratio before listing on eBay. It is now possible to set a custom price for the Auction listing type in the eBay Profile. Selling Lists that use this profile will apply the selected price to every item. Select "Custom" in the "Auction Price Mode" field to start entering prices.

Receive shipping method updates from Etsy

If a shipping method updates on Etsy, Salestio will update the Shopify order accordingly. One example where this change is useful is if the customer selects a shipping upgrade during checkout: Salestio will update the Shopify order to the upgraded shipping.

Customize titles for individual eBay listings

Listing creation data dialogue in the Selling List now gets a new field: "Listing title". You can open the "Listing creation data" menu for any product in the Selling List and set a specific title only for this item:

Etsy gift messages

Salestio will now receive the gift message from Etsy and import it to the Shopify order. In Shopify, you can find this information in the Order Notes section.

Smaller changes and improvements

• Listing remains active on eBay when at least one variation is sold out.

• Improved reconnecting process for expired Etsy and inactive eBay accounts.
• "Not more than" quantity mode now updates marketplace stock every time it changes in Shopify.

• US state is now shown in the customer address on imported Amazon orders.

We are back to share what is new with Salestio. This time, we have been working on a separate app for eBay merchants. "Salestio — Product Import" is finally out on the Shopify App Store, so we are excited to share how it works. Read below to learn more about the app and claim a free offer!

Salestio — Product Import

Product Import by Salestio offers a simple way of converting your eBay listings into Shopify products. From an eBay product page, the app will import titles, descriptions, variations, and images to create new Shopify products. Product Import is available on the Shopify App Store today.

Product Import works both with and without connecting an eBay account. After linking your account with the app, it will be easy to create products in bulk. Link your account on the Dashboard:

Import the whole inventory

You can navigate to the Inventory tab and download the list of products in your eBay store. Select which items you need and click "Create Products":

Use without an account

Importing individual items by URL does not require an eBay account. To get an item, paste its link on the dashboard and click "Import to Shopify":

Try Product Import for free

Each store gets 5 free import credits (1 credit = 1 imported item). Current Salestio users can get a limited offer by the end of September: 500 additional credits. The app is available on the Shopify App Store.

Improvements to the Salestio app

The original Salestio app received minor fixes and improvements. More features coming soon!

• Improved reliability for order sync: the app will retry sending fulfillment after a bad server response.

• Improved performance of the "Stop & Remove" action when it is applied to the whole Selling List.
• Hidden some technical log messages from the dashboard to improve readability.
• Improved price precision when Price Ratio is applied through Global Profile.
• Reworked sync mechanics for eBay. Prices and quantities now can be updated separately without affecting each other.
• Etsy: improved handling of product updates for unmapped items when using SKU mapping.

Implemented custom request

It is now possible to exclude eBay fees from imported eBay orders in Shopify (deduct fees from Total and Paid). If you want this for your store, please let us know at support@salets.io, and we will apply new settings for you.

We are working to add flexible settings for each user to manually configure how taxes appear for imported orders (for all marketplace integrations). Stay tuned for more news!

Auction support

The eBay integration now allows publishing auctions right from the Salestio app. To send your listings as auctions, update the eBay profile. Change the Listing Type to Auction and change the auction properties below. After your new eBay profile is done, add items to a Selling List and send them to eBay as usual.

Import Amazon FBA orders to Shopify

You can now enable importing for only FBA orders, only FBM orders, or both at the same time. Keep in mind that FBA orders are managed by Amazon, so Salestio will not send any updates for them. The information will only go from Amazon to Shopify for FBA.

Importing for FBA orders can be enabled in Salestio > Settings tab > your Amazon account:

eBay SKU mappings now apply to product sync

This is good news for eBay sellers who have different SKUs on Shopify and eBay. Previously, we introduced SKU mappings that allow matching certain eBay SKUs to Shopify ones for order import only.

Now the mappings apply to all products, so it is possible to sync quantities and prices through the Selling List.

After adding the mapping, you can link existing eBay listings with Shopify products via the Inventory tab in Salestio.

FBM and FBA orders filter

The orders tab for Amazon integration now allows entries to be filtered by fulfillment channel. To pick only FBM or only FBA orders, select it in the filters section:

Renewal option for Etsy listings

You can now configure if you want to renew your Etsy listings automatically. Navigate to the Selling List Settings page to set it up. The default option is Manual:

Enable email notifications for expired accounts

You can be notified by email when a connection to one of your Amazon/eBay/Etsy accounts expires and needs attention. Go to Salestio general settings to enable:

Smaller changes and fixes

• Salestio > eBay Inventory - search now possible by variation SKU alongside product SKU
• It is now possible to update prices and quantities separately for eBay listings with variations
• Amazon orders - the "Ship by" date defined by Amazon is now shown on orders imported to Shopify

• Salestio > Amazon Inventory - "Sync inventories with selling products" button now creates a separate selling List for each relevant marketplace
• Partial category select now available for Etsy Creation profiles
• Etsy integration - Update QTY and Update Price settings are now linked together because Etsy does not support updating quantity and price separately

Improvements to adding and deleting products from the Selling List

The Selling Lists in Saletio are used to connect the products between Shopify and selected marketplaces. The Selling Lists can be added for products and for collections. The Collection mode allows automatic upload of the whole Collections to the Selling Lists. Taking into account background events that are happening to Collections on Shopify, it is important to correctly handle this complexity.

During the past month, we added the following improvements to handle Collections as well as separate products in the Selling Lists:

• Keep the products in the Selling List after the changes to Shopify product pages that override variation IDs;
• Add additional log messages when a product is marked as "pending deletion";
• Improved the loading of the Selling Lists on the Salestio > Selling Lists page

eBay integration adjustments

• Added the marketplace selection and removed the mode selection when adding an eBay account to Salestio. The Sandbox mode for eBay is not useful since many of the features from the eBay production environment are not available on the Sandbox account. To avoid any kind of confusion, we removed this mode from Salestio UI. Instead, we added the marketplace selection. It will help automatically create the Selling Lists when the users need to connect Shopify products to existing listings on eBay.

• Allow product creation when the Listing Creation data is added. To create new listings, it is important to put a checkmark to Allow product creation in the Selling List or in the eBay profile if it is used as a template. If a seller does not want to add the listing creation rules through the Creation profile and uses the Listing Creation data for each item in the Selling List, allowing product creation can be skipped. Adding information to the Listing Creation data will automatically allow product creation.

• Payment Policy is optional. Since eBay handles the payments, adding a Payment policy when creating new listings is not required. From now on, you can skip adding the payment policy when creating a Selling List for eBay.

Multiple emails in Salestio notification settings

In Salestio > Settings, sellers can set up the email address where the notifications about the selected events are sent. Previously, it was possible to add just one email address to this field. From now on, multiple emails can be added.

Custom requests

This is a type of request that we add for the specific user's installations. At the same time, they might be useful for other sellers as well. One of the most common requests relates to the display of the taxes in the imported Shopify orders. Depending on the marketplace, the taxes are handled differently. That is why the unified solution is hard to implement. However, these adjustments allow us to set the tax display based on the specific seller's needs.

• Added the adjustment to hide taxes on the imported Amazon and eBay orders on Shopify
• Created a new adjustment for eBay AU to include the GST values on Shopify orders.
• Added the adjustment to hide Amazon Order ID from the Notes on the Shopify order page.

In Progress

As always, we keep working on improvements and adjustments but these are the main points that we would like to highlight today.

• eBay Auction support. For now, Salestio supports only Fixed-price listings when sending products to eBay. This task will allow setting the Auction listing type with the corresponding fields to manage offers

• Standalone app. We keep receiving requests to give the ability to use Salestio without the online store as a connection between multiple marketplaces. This task will allow connecting multiple marketplaces with or without using the Online store

New Amazon marketplace

Salestio now supports Amazon Brazil! If you want to sell on this marketplace, make sure to select it when adding or updating your Amazon account:

Optimized order fulfillment

The app now checks if an order has been fulfilled before sending any updates to Amazon. Previously, updates were sent anyway, so the Shipped Date was pushed forward. This update takes care of that.

Custom request

Added a customization to remove taxes on Amazon orders. Product prices, total, and paid amounts can be displayed with taxes deducted. If you want to hide taxes on your Shopify orders, please let us know at support@salest.io, and we will update your store.

Simplified dashboard

This update made tracking your subscription easier. To reduce confusion, the dashboard now shows only a single counter for "Imported Order Sales":

Etsy integration updates

• Etsy Creation Profiles - new values have been added to the "When did you make it" field to reflect the update from Etsy.
• If the weight is not specified in the Selling List settings, the app will receive weight from the Shopify variation pages. Previously, only the value from the main product was used.
• Shopify order status will update if an order was canceled directly on Etsy.

Improved Selling List and product deletion

• Fixed an issue when deleting an eBay. Selling List on the "Edit Selling List" page might produce an error.

• Fixed an issue when products can get stuck in Pending status after removing a Selling List.

New quantity sync mode

A new QTY mode can now be selected in the Global Profile: Buffer QTY.

When this mode is applied to the items, the QTY sent to Amazon/eBay/Etsy will be the following:

QTY = Shopify QTY - Buffer QTY

The automatic synchronization will continue if you use this mode.

Account-specific SKU mapping

Recently introduced SKU mappings now can be set up for multiple marketplace accounts separately. To set up a mapping for a specific account, navigate to Salestio > Settings tab, select your connected account, and scroll to the "SKU mapping file" section.

Cross-marketplace mappings are still available if you want to use them (Salestio > Settings > Salestio Settings). Account-specific mappings will overwrite this if present.

Refresh inventory list

For outdated inventory lists (Salestio > Inventory tab), you now have the option to rebuild from scratch. Tick the box during downloading inventories to remove old listings from this tab:

Unique customer emails for Amazon orders

A new option in Salestio settings allows using Amazon order ID to compose the customer email. This ensures that even the same customer will have a unique email for each order. Find it in the Settings tab > your Amazon account:

Selling Lists: using collections in Product Mode

Product Mode users can now populate Selling Lists in bulk using the new button:

Now you can get the convenience of Collection Mode with the control of Product Mode. As usual, you can still move, delete, and add individual products even after using the add by collections option. Select the needed collections and click "Add":

Custom adjustments

Added a custom adjustment to disable order importing based on product titles. This applies for Amazon, eBay, and Etsy. If you want this adjustment for your store, please reach out to support@salest.io and let us know.

Link individual Amazon listings

Amazon users now can select specific Amazon listings to link with Shopify. Instead of using the "Sync inventories with selling products" button, look for "Move to Selling List":

Minor features

• Dashboard counters (Live, Error, Pending, etc.) now display products instead of variations.
• Salestio can now receive a "Refunded" status if an order was updated on eBay directly (coming soon for Etsy orders).

Updated Listing Creation Data options for eBay

Products in a different category than the rest of the Selling List might need different Business Policies. Salestio gets a new section in Listing Creation Data to support that:

Dimensions and calculated shipping for Etsy

Etsy Selling Lists now support calculated shipping. To set shipping dimensions, edit your Selling List settings and add size/weight. The new fields support both plain numbers and metafields from your Shopify store:

Status for Etsy accounts

When Etsy authorization expires, Salestio will show an "Expired" badge for this account:

Receive "Canceled" status from Amazon

The app now supports updating the Shopify order to "Canceled" when it changes on Amazon.

Smaller improvements

There is now an option to show 25 items per page in Selling Lists. This can further reduce loading times in lists with a large number of variations.

Product SKU can be copied by clicking it in the Selling List.

• Untracked fulfillment is now supported for Etsy. The platform allows this for orders under 10 USD, so Salestio will update them without tracking (if not indicated).
• Orders with 0 USD total can now be created in Shopify.
• Improved order creation for orders with similar items in a short time. Such orders are no longer delayed.
• Tax can be turned off for eBay orders. Please contact support@salest.io to apply this for your store.

Cross - Selling List Search

Users with a large number of Selling Lists now can find a specific item faster. To search across all Selling Lists, Navigate to the Selling Lists tab and click the "Find Product" button:

Clicking "View in Selling List" will open the Selling List that contains the item.

Select what to do when stock runs out

We recommend having Out-of-stock control enabled on eBay by default. This way, when a product runs out of stock in Shopify, it will be updated with 0 QTY on eBay.

For users that want to keep Out-of-stock control disabled, a new setting is available in the settings. Navigate to Salestio > Settings > your eBay account and select "Stop the listing on eBay":

Variation mapping

When creating listings on Amazon in certain categories, Amazon requires variation labels to conform with the original field. For example, XS is not accepted, and sellers should use X-Small instead. The new variation mapping allows assigning any custom label for the Shopify variants.

If the variation mapping is not needed, you can hide it by clicking on the "Variation Mapping" button.

Custom text in eBay Creation Profiles

When configuring eBay Creation Profiles, it is now possible to enter plain text in the drop-down menus:

UI updates

eBay statuses are updated to be consistent with other integrations: "Linked" instead of "Active" and "Not Linked" instead of "Not Active" to avoid confusing Shopify product statuses.

Selling Lists: SKU and variations are now displayed below the product title. This layout allows more comfortable viewing on smaller displays:

Better Description Template previews

Instead of random items, you can now select a specific item to preview a description template. All Shopify items are available through search:

Minor improvements

• Optimized loading of Selling Lists for large variation count
• Orders with customized SKUs will display the original one below

Revised permission scope

To improve the performance of order location settings, Salestio had to revise its permission scope for existing users. Please make sure to open the app Dashboard and update permissions for the best experience.

SKU mapping selector

A new feature is added to the Salestio Settings tab. Now any user can quickly upload a custom mapping between Shopify product SKUs and marketplace SKUs by themselves.

This feature is useful for sellers that have an extensive product catalog listed already, and need a way to match, for example, a list of Amazon items with the same Shopify items that have a different SKU.

Mappings take effect for order importing on all integrations. For Amazon integration, SKU can be applied to quantity and price synchronization in Selling Lists. If you intend to use the mapping for Amazon listing sync, please contact us at support@salest.io after adding the mapping file.

Users who have been using SKU mappings since before this update have the option to replace their mapping file with a new one at any time. It is also possible to download the current mapping for editing or reference.

Change items before importing orders

This feature may be useful for users who have missed an item in their mapping file. If Salestio cannot find the indicated marketplace SKU in Shopify, the order will fail to be created in Shopify.

To fix this issue quickly, you can click the Change button in the order and select any Shopify item that should be used in this one order. For smooth operation later, we suggest adding/editing the SKU mapping after such an issue is resolved.

The button also updates the item in the Salestio database, which is useful if the Shopify item needs an edit before the order is created. Consider a use case below:

An Amazon item Blue Jeans has an SKU "ABC". Shopify item Blue Jeans has an SKU "XYZ".

1. Salestio imported an Amazon order with Blue Jeans
2. SKU "ABC" does not exist in Shopify, so the order is not created.
3. Edit Blue Jeans SKU in Shopify from "XYZ" to "ABC"
4. In Salestio order, click Change and select the "ABC" item to refresh it
5. Successfully create the order in Shopify as quickly as possible

"Deliver By" note for Amazon and eBay

Some sellers were missing this field, so we added it to Shopify. Now you can find the "Deliver By" date in the Notes section on your imported orders.

Minor updates

• Added Smart rounding feature to Global Profiles. The price can be rounded up to x.x9, x.99, or x.00

• Selling List view and Order view now allow searching on the Enter key press

• Improved labeling of info/error messages in Logs for more clarity
• It is now possible to manage more than 50 profiles of any kind (Global Profile, Creation Profile, etc.)

In progress

Aside from stability updates, the team is improving Amazon Creation profiles. We noticed sellers needing a better way to list products with variations. Currently, we are developing variation mappings, so the sellers can avoid changing item structure in Shopify.
